WESTconsin Credit Union Gives Back on CU Community Day

WESTconsin Credit Union spread joy and supported their local communities on Indigenous Peoples’ Day as part of the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s CU Community Day. Nearly 200 WESTconsin employees came together on Monday to create cards for Operation Gratitude for Veterans, blankets for Dunn County and Eau Claire County Human Societies, as well as cards and birthday boxes for young patients of local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

“Our employees truly exemplified the spirit of what CU Community Day is all about and were able to Inspire Better with this small act of kindness,” said Jennifer Rathke, Vice President – Member Advocacy. “CU Community Day not only allowed us to honor local veterans, give warmth to animals in need, and bring smiles to young patients, but highlighted WESTconsin’s ongoing commitment to Inspiring Better in the communities we are proud to serve.”

This is the second year the Wisconsin Credit Union League hosted CU Community Day, a statewide initiative that is meant to help state credit unions increase visibility and showcase how they better their local communities. Last year, credit unions collectively donated nearly 9,000 volunteer hours and $8,000.
